Orchids
are typically shipped bareroot to the United States in accordance with requirements of
the U.S. Department of Agriculture. There is, however, an exception to the barerooting
requirement for "plants growing on coconut". All of Orchidom's
Phalaenopsis are shipped bareroot. Dendrobiums, Oncidiums and Cattleyas are shipped both
bareroot and growing on coconut.

Orchidom makes all the necessary arrangements for shipping plants to the United
States, typically through the San Juan, Puerto Rico, port-of-entry, including phyto-sanitary
certificates and Dominican export permits, delivery to the air freight carrier,
U.S. import permits, port-of-entry handling,
and U.S. Customs
and Department of Agriculture inspections. U.S. customers specify how plants are
to be shipped to them from San Juan and Orchidom's representative arranges for
delivery of the shipment to the customer's designated carrier.
